Level 7 has been using this specific thermostat in our builds for the past 8 years. We prefer coolant to start cycling and equalize temperature for better electric cooling fan operation. We have found that people make the mistake of turning their cooling fans on at 195-198º while the factory thermostat has just started to open at 192-194º. When returning cold water will force the thermostat to try and close again.
